DESCRIPTION:Nick Davis returns to Harrisburg Comic & Pop Con as a special guest. \n \nNick and Alt World Studios will be a special guest of the Harrisburg Comic & Pop Con\, in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex August 23 & 24\, 2025. We will be bringing all the Night Guardian adventures and Let’s Hunt Monstas! comic books\, including the inaction figures and more! \n\nGiant Expo Hall\, PA Farm Complex\, Harrisburg\, Booth TBA\nAugust 23 & 24\n\nKid Friendly Workshops!\nNick Davis & Alt World Studios will also be hosting the Kids Love Comics Workshop Pavilion at Harrisburg Comic & Pop Con. Nick will be joined by the Kids Love Comics Crew\, Dawn Griffin\, Chris Flick\, Jonathan Roth\, Chris Ring\, guest indie artist Jason Seaux and introducing No.2 Pencil Man\, a gang of friendly comic book creators are running art workshops in the Kids Love Comics Activity Area. These FREE to participate workshops are open all\, with coloring sheets\, how-to’s\, crayons and markers\, kids and their parents are invited to let their inner artist explore! \nThe Kids Love Comics Program Schedule\nSaturday – \n\n11.15am – Draw The Shape\, Not The Thing with Nick Davis\nThe secret to drawing is one simple thing\, draw the shape\, not draw the thing. Using a series of simple shapes\, Nick Davis will show you how to draw Hero Ted\, the super-heroic teddy bear who protects naptime from the monsters. You can follow along with Nick with the supplied worksheet\, and draw your very own superhero. Best superhero gets the Hero Ted demo art at the end of the session.\n12.15pm – Drawing Alien with Dawn Griffin\nDawn Griffin\, the creator of the comic “Zorphbert and Fred”\, wants you to expand your imagination and learn how to draw some wacky ALIENS! In this fun workshop game you’ll find yourself drawing aliens like you’ve never seen before!\n1.15pm – Graphic Novel Blast Off: How to Start a Story by Jonathan Roth\nWhether you have lots of cool ideas or need a little inspiration\, beginning your comics can be the hardest part. Are there special tricks and tips to get you going? In this workshop\, Jonathan Roth (ROVER AND SPECK\, BEEP AND BOB) will lead fun exercises for kids of all ages and levels who want to start getting their stories on the page. Paper and pens/pencils will be provided or bring your own.\n2.15pm – Become a Superhero with No. 2 Pencil Man\nCome discover your superpower with No. 2 Pencil Man in this fun\, creativity-filled workshop\, where you will customize your own superhero mask and cape\, all to help you discover your superpersonna through creativity. Be empowered to embrace your originality and explore the depths of your creative powers. Be prepared to see your dreams soar when you see yourself as the superhero you really are! Workshop intended for kids 3-12 years of age. Materials are provided! Adult supervision required.\n\nSunday – \n\n11.15am Giving an Oyster Personality” By Chris Ring\nWriter and Artist Chris Ring will share his children’s book “Oscar the Oyster Saves the Day” and show aspiring storytellers the steps he took to make the main character dynamic and loveable.
