Oh, yes, it is January 18, known as Winnie the Pooh day, a day to celebrate the joy and gentle adventures of a very silly little bear with a heart as big as the woods he inhabits.

Winnie the Pooh is a timeless character, his adventures with and without Christopher Robin, are journeys into imagination and joy, of acceptance, love and recognizing that it is the smallest things in life, that bring the greatest happiness.

Ever since Winnie the Pooh, and his friends, like Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo became public domain, I have been happily drawing the characters that brought me great joy and comfort during some of my darkest of times. It is no secret I am a fan of the silly ole’ bear and I am working on, very slowly, my very own Winnie the Pooh book.
