Nick Davis returns to Harrisburg Comic & Pop Con as a special guest and host of the Kids Love Comics Pavilion.

Nick and Alt World Studios will be a special guest of the Harrisburg Comic & Pop Con, in the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex August 22 & 23, 2026. We will be bringing all the Night Guardian adventures and Let’s Hunt Monstas! comic books, including the inaction figures and more!

Kid Friendly Workshops!

Kids Love Comics is returning to Harrisburg Comic & Pop Con! Hosted by Nick Davis, the Kids Love Comics pavilion features two full days of art workshops, creative activities, and special events designed to help attendees of all ages unlock their inner artist.

In addition to our workshops, be sure to stop by our Free Draw Area, where you can sketch, create, and contribute your favorite character to our popular “Draw Your Favorite Character” Table.  No experience is required. Just bring your imagination to the Kids Love Comics pavilion and get ready to draw! More exciting announcements are on the way. We can’t wait to see everyone in Harrisburg!

The Kids Love Comics Program Schedule

Saturday, August 22nd –
11.15pm – Draw the Shape, Not the Thing: Nick Davis
Join Let’s Hunt Monstas! Creator Nick Davis for a fun, interactive drawing workshop where you’ll learn how to draw Hero Ted using simple shapes and easy-to-follow techniques. Discover how circles, squares, triangles, and other basic forms are the building blocks artists use to create their favorite heroes and characters.

12.15pm – Come discover your superpower with No. 2 Pencil Man: Tanner Geesey
In this fun, creativity-filled workshop, where you will customize your own superhero mask and cape, all to help you discover your superpersonna through creativity. Be empowered to embrace your originality and explore the depths of your creative powers. Be prepared to see your dreams soar when you see yourself as the superhero you really are! Workshop intended for kids 3-12 years of age. Materials are provided! Adult supervision advised.

1.15pm – Show & Toon: Sweetest Beasts Harold Buchholz
The author/artist of Sweetest Beasts, teaches you how to draw the main characters from this heartwarming series. He will discuss the creative process and the journey from first idea to finished book.

2.15pm – How to draw a cartoon werewolf: Chris Flick
An interactive “draw along with me” panel where I show you step by step how to draw my cartoon werewolf, Roy. This is a cartooning and drawing panel for werewolves of all ages with a little bit of cartoon and animation trivia thrown in as well!

3.15pm – MONSTER MORPHOLOGY: Dan Nokes
Join Indie Comics Veteran and expert monster creator: Dan Nokes as he goes over and explains how to artistically render and create monsters, creatures, kaijus and all assortment of cryptids, great and small, and works with you to bring your monster to LIFE!

Sunday, August 23nd –
11.15pm – Tips & Tricks, Do’s & Don’ts when drawing your characters: Chris Ring
In introducing readers to his series “Seamus (the Famous)”, Chris Ring shows aspiring creators some of the short cuts and pitfalls that he has learned drawing comics and graphic novels.

12.15pm – Drawing Space Dogs and Alien Blobs: John Gallagher
John Gallagher (Max Meow) shows you how to draw his newest character, Rex Rocket, Cosmic Wiener Dog! But the intergalactic fun continues, as you will create your own aliens, ships and creatures— the sky’s the limit!

1.15pm – Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!:Bryan “Kaiser” Tillman
Ever wanted to learn how to draw Ninjas? Well now’s your chance with artist and creator of Ninja Empire, Bryan “Kaiser” Tillman. Learn how to cronstruct epic Ninjas with only basic shapes. This step by step class with teach you just how easy it is to create your very own Ninja

2.15pm – Amelia Rules!: Jimmy Gownley
Creator Jimmy Gownley teaches you how to turn your real life experiences into a brand new superhero of your own creation. Kids will learn where ideas come from and how to turn them into to finished characters.
