This weekend, Nick Davis will be in Harrisburg as a special guest of the Harrisburg Comic and Pop con at the Ag Center is growing from a medium size convention to a one of the best shows to attend on the East Coast that is still about comics.

Nick will be bringing all the Night Guardian and Let’s Hunt Monstas! books, along with the inaction/action figures based on the books. In addition, Nick is also the host for the Kids Love Comics Pavilion, where he is joined by the KLC crew to bring FREE creative art workshops, to help you child unlock their inner artist. All you need to do is turn up, all art supplies are provided, and enjoy the art workshops, where you will learn to draw, how to tell stories and become your own superhero!
This is going to be a stonker of a show, and Nick Davis is very proud to be part of it and help contribute to the shows growth, and help entertain the attendees.

- 11.15am – Draw The Shape, Not The Thing with Nick Davis
The secret to drawing is one simple thing, draw the shape, not draw the thing. Using a series of simple shapes, Nick Davis will show you how to draw Hero Ted, the super-heroic teddy bear who protects naptime from the monsters. You can follow along with Nick with the supplied worksheet, and draw your very own superhero. Best superhero gets the Hero Ted demo art at the end of the session. - 12.15pm – Drawing Alien with Dawn Griffin
Dawn Griffin, the creator of the comic “Zorphbert and Fred”, wants you to expand your imagination and learn how to draw some wacky ALIENS! In this fun workshop game you’ll find yourself drawing aliens like you’ve never seen before! - 1.15pm – Graphic Novel Blast Off: How to Start a Story by Jonathan Roth
Whether you have lots of cool ideas or need a little inspiration, beginning your comics can be the hardest part. Are there special tricks and tips to get you going? In this workshop, Jonathan Roth (ROVER AND SPECK, BEEP AND BOB) will lead fun exercises for kids of all ages and levels who want to start getting their stories on the page. Paper and pens/pencils will be provided or bring your own. - 2.15pm – Become a Superhero with No. 2 Pencil Man
Come discover your superpower with No. 2 Pencil Man in this fun, creativity-filled workshop, where you will customize your own superhero mask and cape, all to help you discover your superpersonna through creativity. Be empowered to embrace your originality and explore the depths of your creative powers. Be prepared to see your dreams soar when you see yourself as the superhero you really are! Workshop intended for kids 3-12 years of age. Materials are provided! Adult supervision required.

Indie Comic Book Artist Jason Seaux guides you through how to draw Mr. Button the Teddy Bear Monsta Hunta and how you can draw your own cuddly toy protector! - 1.15pm The AaaaWoooooo Werewolf Workshop
